What size bin should I get?
Home renovations consist mostly of bulky material such as drywall, wood, etc. we recommend a roll off container. Depending on the size of your project or clean up, call our office and a service specialist will assist you in determining what size container you should order.
Are there any items I can‘t dispose of?
We cannot accept cylinders, tires, white goods, aerosol cans, paint, batteries, waste oil, cardboard, computer monitors, TV‘s, punters, creosol ties or any other type of hazardous waste. Please call the City of Prince Rupert Landfill at 250.624.5482 for assistance on landfill restrictions.
How do I pay for the service?
We accept visa, MasterCard, and of course cash. If paying by credit card, we will have your card pre-authorized when you place your order and have it processed only when the work is complete.
How much advance notice should I provide?
Two days is usually more than sufficient. Of course, the more notice that is given the better.
Can you empty roll offs on the weekend?
No, the city of Prince Rupert landfill is not open for commercial clients on weekends only in special circumstances such as international high risk garbage, or prior arrangements have been authorized.
Will a roll off container damage my driveway?
We recommend you place plywood down if you would like the container placed on your driveway, especially if you have exposed concrete or a stamped driveway. The other option to ensure there is no damages is to put the container on the street.
How full can I fill a roll off dumpster?
We ask that you keep the load under the rails as Rupert Disposal tarps every load to ensure materials do not fly out onto the highway or road.
How long can I have the container?
We have daily, weekly and monthly rates, call our office and we will work out the best deal for you to save you money.
Are there any regulations for renting a Storage Container to be placed at my house?
We ask that you call the City of Prince Rupert at 250.627.0960 and speak with a representative to find out the current bylaws and procedures regarding storage containers on residents property.
What are the City of Prince Rupert Landfill hours of operation?
Saturday 10:00 am to 3:45pm (Residential customers only)
Closed on Sundays and all Statutory Holidays.
What if my scheduled pick up day falls on a statutory holiday?
We try to accommodate our customers the best we can, we will pick up as many customers on the day before the holiday as we can, and finish our route the day after the holiday.
